Translators of the 2024 Dakar Rally

For 18 years, our English, French and Spanish sports translators have been working behind the scenes at the world’s biggest rally: the Dakar Rally.

Once again this year, hundreds of competitors lined up at the start of the famous rally-raid. To be precise, 418 vehicles were in the running, with drivers from all over the world ready to take on the challenge of the desert. The globalisation of the event requires communication in several languages, and that’s where our translators come in.

Our team of specialist human translators works closely with A.S.O., the event’s organising company. Our English and Spanish translators provide live coverage of each stage for around 14 hours each day. As this is a global event, millions of readers follow the race in different time zones and read the texts translated in English and localised by us.
